This is a promotional video I created for Main Event Tulsa to advertise their birthday parties.
I was just beginning to learn Adobe Character Animator when this project came to me. I wanted to do something that would allow me to put what I had learned into practice. I came up with the idea of two party balloons talking to each other. This would allow me to do some simple animated faces, work with a green screen, and incorporate some voice over work.
I wanted to have a solid color background in order for the balloons to stand out and be the focal point. I also felt that it made for a better looking video. However, the client wanted a picture of their establishment in the background.
What I learned: Animation, even simple animation, takes a long time. I also continue to be reminded that I need better lighting equipment.
