An upscale bar located in the lobby of a historic and recently renovated Oklahoma City theater.
The theater is housed in an old Art Deco building, so the design needed to reflect that history. The typeface reflects the type treatments of that era, while also adding a pinch of modern flair. The counter of the O is illustrated to look like the movement of red wine in a glass.
Side Note: I have included my original design as well. My creative director felt it wasn’t graphic enough, which lead me to the wine concept. I still think it visually worked better with the building’s architecture and the design had more creative options in terms of brand implementation.
